Home of the PalmScope

The people at VSL developed the PalmScope, the ubiquitas portable video capture device for industry, over 10 years ago and which has only recently gone out of production. With support from Moritex Corporation in Japan the PalmScope was developed for and adopted by customers in the endoscopy and pipe inspection markets all over the world.

More recently the next generation 4.3" PVA (Personal Video Assistant) and 7" iScope have been developed to follow on from the success of the PalmScope. Using the industry standard ARM micro-controller architecture and Linux OS (the basis for Android) the PVA introduces a new level of capability to the industrial imaging market.

Endoscopes and Borescopes

In addition to manufacturing and supplying the PVA and iScope range of products VSL is also able to supply the full range of Moritex optical Light Scopes and Hawkeye optical borescopes and flexible videoscopes from Gradient Lens Corporation of the USA.  To compliment the Hawkeye products we can also supply a range of innovative low cost and small diameter video endoscopes sourced from Asia for a wide range of industrial applications.

 

Video Microscopes

To reflect the many years of expertise that Moritex Corporation have built up in the fields of Machine Vision and Industrial Inspection we also supply and support the MSX range of Video Microscopes. These follow on from the innovation and versatility first introduced by the Scopeman range of products. Their core features include the wide range of magnifications available, unprecedented depth-of-field, video-PC inter-operability and measurement capability.

 

Pipe Inspection Systems

An increasing proportion of our business now comes from the pipe inspection business. Not only can we supply complete pipe inspection solutions from simple push cameras to pipe crawlers but we also manufacture and supply dedicated versions of the iScope to this industry along with the associated and specialised software requirements it has.
